Villa Juliana lies on the most beautiful, white and fine sand beach in Jambiani, located on the East Coast of Zanzibar. Construction started in 2016 and was completed in 2018.  

We are delighted to announce that Villa Juliana is committed to sustainability. Being one of the few sustainable hotel in Zanzibar, our entire electricity and hot water supply is generated exclusively through solar power. The two villas are just 20 meters from the beach and share a 500sqm tropical garden and a private infinity pool. We do not use air-conditioners at Villa Juliana, but ceiling fans are provided in all rooms. Open windows equipped with mosquito nets guarantee natural cross ventilation.

Each villa can accommodate up to 12 and 8 people, respectively. In both villas, rooms can be rented separately, or either or both villas can be rented for exclusive use. We will be delighted to organize special events, weddings, or honeymoons, according to your wishes. 

Villa Juliana offers access for disabled people in wheel chairs in all indoor and outdoor common areas (ground floor only), including pool and garden access.  

In an effort to support the Jambiani community and local engagement initiatives, we are proud to promote competent local craftsmanship; all materials used during the construction were locally made. All walls are built with hand-cut coral stones 50 cm thick.  All furniture is made from recycled old local sailing boats, the Dhows.
